POLL: I need your feedback...
What do you think about AI creating Christian content?
I’m finishing up a post about the use of AI to create Christian content and I want your view from a Christian perspective. I’m gathering votes on an informal poll to see where the majority lands. Will you take a few seconds to respond and let me know?
In context, I’m seeing a trend among Christian writers to heavily use AI to write their content and I want to speak to this topic.
What are your thoughts about Christian writers/influencers using AI to actually write their content and sell/promote resources? (Meaning the resources, posts, or PDF devotionals or downloads are made with AI prompts and a few subtle changes. The AI content is then copy and pasted for sale or for public reading.)
Please respond from a biblical point of view.
You will be seeing the results of this poll in a few weeks when I finish my post.
Thanks for participating. If you have time, I would love it if you left a comment explaining your answer and sharing it with a friend, too!
Your feedback will help me write this post! You are the best!

I think that those that are using AI are not hearing the Holy Spirit and can’t be trusted with their words.
I have grave concerns about the use of AI in preparation of sermons, Christian talks or any form of evangelism/ outreach. The dangers of deception, error and lack of rigour (such as with Wikipedia), research and Bible knowledge are enormous, and I will avoid such.
As a former (retired) Computer Systems Engineer and manager I studied “machine learning” and “expert systems” (the immediate forerunners of AI) in the late 1990’s, and studied Applied Theology just four years ago.
AI is frowned upon in Bible Colleges and rightly treated with suspicion in academia - because of issues such as plagiarism and cheating when writing essays.
There is absolutely no substitute for scriptural knowledge and discerning the Holy Spirit’s guiding. Eve was deceived (beguiled, deluded) by a creature with knowledge that was not from God, so why should anyone want to take that same risk, using “technology” and worldly “wisdom” that is, likewise, not from God?
